Recognize a reason to seek help
Unexplained financial changes, pressure to sign documents, isolation or threats deserve attention. A concern is a reason to seek qualified assistance; it is not proof of abuse.
If someone may be in danger
Call 911 for immediate danger. For non-emergency concerns, contact the appropriate Adult Protective Services agency in the person’s state. TCF’s contact form is not an emergency or abuse-reporting channel.
If a request feels suspicious
Pause before acting. Verify requests through a phone number or website you find independently. Do not use contact details supplied by an unexpected caller or message.
