Our mission

The Chetwood Foundation exists to improve lives, strengthen communities, and expand opportunities by removing barriers to health, housing, education, financial stability, and community well-being.

Through stewardship, education, charitable partnerships, resource navigation, and compassionate service, the Foundation empowers seniors, underserved individuals, families, veterans, and other vulnerable populations to achieve greater independence, dignity, and long-term quality of life.

Our vision

To build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities where every individual has access to the resources, education, and opportunities needed to live with dignity, independence, and hope.

Leadership through service

“True leadership begins with service, kindness, and the willingness to empower future generations.”

Our work is guided by a simple responsibility: leave people, communities and the institution stronger for those who follow.

Our Points of Light

Our nine fields of service organize the mission. Within them, our Points of Light are the programs, initiatives and outreach through which that mission takes shape. Our twelve core values guide how every Point of Light is developed and delivered.

Rooted in Texas. Built to reach further.

We are building toward nationwide reach through local relationships, thoughtful planning and state-specific program readiness. Our authorized Section 504 application packaging serves Texas; availability for other services varies by program and location.

A foundation with a long horizon

The Chetwood Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, with federal tax-exempt recognition effective June 10, 2026. Our heritage phrase, “Serving communities since 2001,” reflects a history of service; it is not the Foundation’s incorporation or tax-exemption date.

Experience carried forward

Members of our team developed their community application-assistance experience through The Medicare Store before bringing that commitment into The Chetwood Foundation. Historical service activity is distinguished from work completed by TCF since its establishment in 2026.
