A local place to begin
Our South Texas Citizenship & Immigration Access work focuses on underserved residents, including seniors, people with disabilities and Spanish-speaking households. It builds on assistance our team previously provided through The Medicare Store. Current outreach focuses on Starr and Hidalgo Counties and surrounding communities.
Resident cards and citizenship applications
Ask about administrative help with Permanent Resident Card renewal or replacement applications (Form I-90), naturalization applications (Form N-400), organizing documents, and submitting applicant-reviewed materials according to official instructions. This service does not cover every pathway to obtaining lawful permanent residence.
Need help with application fees?
Many people do not realize that fee assistance may be available. Our team has helped low-income applicants prepare fee-waiver requests for eligible resident-card and citizenship applications. Ask about Form I-912 and the official evidence requirements. USCIS decides whether a waiver is available and approved; TCF’s free assistance does not automatically waive government filing fees.
Preparation beyond the paperwork
Bilingual citizenship study materials, civics learning and interview practice help people prepare with greater confidence. An expanded twice-monthly Saturday citizenship preparation program is in development; dates will be shared when confirmed.
Digital access with you in control
We help people navigate official USCIS online resources while keeping their own accounts and credentials under their control. Filing methods vary, especially when requesting a fee waiver; check the current official instructions before submitting.
The right help for legal questions
TCF provides education, document organization and administrative support, not immigration legal advice or representation. Questions about eligibility, legal strategy or complex cases require a licensed immigration attorney or appropriately accredited representative. No application outcome is guaranteed.
