Property & legacy

A property can become a new beginning.

A long-term vision for turning donated property into meaningful community benefit.

Our aspiration: 100 properties in two years

This is a development goal, not a report of properties received or an assurance of future acquisitions. Each proposed gift must be evaluated for mission fit, cost, condition and responsible stewardship.

What a donated property could make possible

Planned uses include temporary shelter for domestic violence survivors; transitional housing for people facing homelessness or job loss; lodging for storm-displaced families; safe, affirming housing for people facing rejection, discrimination or major life transitions; and lodging near medical care for families and caregivers. Suitable properties may also support older adults and veterans. These are development concepts, not facilities currently accepting residents.

A careful review process

Start with the property’s general location, type, occupancy and any known loans or restrictions. TCF would then review title, environmental and physical condition, liabilities, ongoing costs and intended use before deciding whether to accept a gift.

Protect your own interests

Do not sign or transfer a deed based on this website. Work with independent legal and tax advisers. TCF does not provide appraisals or promise a deduction, a particular use or acceptance of a property.

Start a confidential conversation

Call or email to discuss your property and your goals. Secure document handling and a gift-acceptance review will be arranged before any transfer.
